Powershot A75

Hello all,
This is my first post so bear with me!
I purchased a Powershot A75 yesterday and it's my first digital camera. So far I am delighted with it and am having great fun. However I have two small little problems that I would like your help in solving.
The first one is this:When I transfer the photos to my computer they also remain on the memory card. Is this normal?? I have to then delete each one individually from the camera. I'm sure there must be a way to transfer directly to the computer as in cut and paste?? Or something similar??
The second problem I have is that my instruction manual is in french! If anyone out there has one in English that they no longer need please contact me at denis1501@esatclear.ie

You can delete all pics at the same time from your CF card card by pressing the MENU button and selecting DELETE ALL. This can only be done while in picture viewing mode on your camera. You can also delete all the pics from your cameras CF card thru the software after you've downloaded them to your PC.

It's completely normal for the pictures to be left on the camera's card after download. You can also format the card (in the camera, Menu | Set Up | Format) after you're done. This helps keep the card's storage from getting too fragmented through adding and deleting pictures one-at-a-time.
