If I'm not mistaken the warranty is not transferable. So if this is a private sale then you have a 1D for sale with no warranty which means that it makes no difference if it is a US or a grey 1D. Might as well buy a new 1D for less then $4900.

We are a Canon dealer. I was just checking to see if anybody was interested in this camera because we may send it back to Canon.
