1st attemp at asain mantis eye at 5:1 life size [Archive]

well i had to try it sooner or later..i can only do it when he eats cause soon as hes eaten he starts to climb on my lens..:lol:il try again tomorrow when he gets fead again.not bad for 1st attempt tho i thought?i told him next time i shoot him to make sure he cleans his eyes propery:lol:

this was best one out of the 5 i took..the other are overexposed..all shooting date and the other 4 pics are on my flick account..

i need to try and shooot him with out the 2 flash heads showing on the pic..any advice guys?

Lovely shot showing the hexagonal lenses you could try shooting with just one tube on ?
How about getting it to stand on one of the heads and using that ? (might need to check if it gets hot first don't want a mantid with burnt tootsies)
