This past weekend was the annual Naha, Okinawa Tug-of-War. Basically once a year, the local Okinawans weave a giant rope that weighs roughly 40 tons, and 30,000 people come to the event. Basically its a tug of war between the east/west side of the island. Its the largest tug of war in the world, and I was right in the middle of it.
I was using my Canon 1D Mark II and my Canon EOS 5. The only lenses I used were the 24-70 f/2.8L and the 16-35 f/2.8L.
It was a once in a lifetime event for me, as I missed it last year and wont be here for next years. Im glad I was there. Here's my Flickr set of some of my favorite pictures shot with my Mark II:

I shot 3 rolls of Provia with my EOS 5, and Im currently waiting on them to come back after being developed. I cant wait.
