To me, it's an OK shot, not what I'd call spectacular, & believe me, I've taken about a thousand just like it, so I'm not slamming it! Not needle sharp, either.
Look at this thread

or some of RFMSports stuff & you'll see what I mean.

I have not taken a look at the above thread, because I want my critique to be what I see, not what another thread has shown me. The biggest problem that I have with this shot is that there is no sense of movement. As far as I can see, this car is parked. Or going 5mph.
That is part of the problem of the medium - there is no "motion" in still pictures. Therefor, it is up to the photographer to instill the impression, or illusion - if you rather, of motion. The easiest way to do that is to pan.
True, the car might be less sharp, or even downright blurry, but it will carry a lot more *emotional* weight than this shot.
Here is a shot that I took, of a completely different kind of "car" - in this case, a ride at the fair. No matter what else, I think that it does convey *motion*

( If you do view the above thread, and want to comment, PLEASE DO NOT DO SO on that thread. I am NOT trying to bump it! )
Or, I suppose you could do something like this:

thanks for the comments guys. at the particular angle i was shooting at for this corner it was hard for me to do any panning.. due to people standing right near me.
here is one of the shots where i was capturing more movement..

I agree with Rad on the first shot ... great PS effect that really enhances the photo.
Before seeing it, my first thought was 'not bad, but crop out the tires in front' ... however, with the fake motion blur, you'll need them.
The second is a great picture, IMHO. Maybe cropped a little tight, but great sense of speed and a sharp car.
Best regards,
Andy
