Hey, has anyone ever used the Domke Backpack Strap? Wondering what anyone thinks of it.

Impatient, aren't we?
Not as good as a full-fledged backpack, but if you're going to be carrying rather than shooting it gives you an alternative. If you're hiking in the woods, with any kind of terrain, you won't like it. If you're in a more urbanized environment, it'll work OK.

Sorry, my wife says I can be impatient, no bother denying it.
Thanks for the information, my thought is to use this when on vacation and long day trips here in Chicago. Not sure I'll get it but thought it might be worth checking out.
Thanks a bunch Jon, knew you would have the answer.

I've been trying jury-rigging a Lowepro backpack strap on my F-1x. So far, while the padded straps of the Lowepro seem nicer than the webbing of the Domke, getting it on's a right pain. Still a couple of more things to try, and the Lowepro may work better on the F-7, which (like the Lowepro bags this is meant for) has a belt. If I'm on pavement or other smooth terrain, I'll go with a Samsonite cart (http://www.travelsmith.com/jump.jsp?itemID=9155&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C2%2C292%2C328&iProductID=9155&sortBy=0). Small, light, and convenient. Link's just the easiest one I could find, not where I got mine (I have got other travel stuff from them; they're reasonable).

It's comfy enough to wear as a walk around town but as Jon said, not for serious hiking or anything like that. It's good when you're out shooting and want to give the shoulder a rest.

4x4rock, thanks for the pic. looks like something I could roll up and put in the bag and then pull out when needed. Exactely what I hoped for. I don't do nature hiking and live in a large city so seems like it might be a good fit for me.

I have this as well, It works. Can't really say more about it other than it's left over canvas and attach metal buckles to it. :P
Works well on my F-3X
