I just thought that this lady was pretty much the polar opposite emotional view point than why I was in Paris. This is at the base of the stairs that go under the Arc d'Triomphe.

Yes, it says:-

"You are on your honeymoon, why the hell are you taking pictures of me !"

Seriously though, a fab pic

Actually yes...in full size image the sign is readable:

"LADIE AND GENTLEMEN. I AM FROM BOSNIA. HAVE BEEN IN PARIS FOR 2 MONTHS AND CANNOT SPEAK FRENCH. MY BEIBI SIN BOSNIA NEED SOME MONEY FOR FOOD. PLEASE HELP. THANK."

Nice shot. I don't take pics like that 'cause they depress me too much!

If a picture such as that presents itself, I always try to get the writing
involved in it if possible, especially if it's a foreign script. I don't know if that
was possible here, and the photo is certainly good enough without it, but I would have tried for an angle that would have allowed for viewers to read
the placard she was holding.

Like I said...the full size 8x10 print has totally readable text in the sign. It's just getting squashed due to resampling and resizing. That said...it was a total accident that the sign is readable. I didn't think about it, just turned around, saw the woman, and shot only 1 frame and kept walking.
