I'm changing over from another gallery but am having trouble customising EE.

I read a previous post on this forum about how to completely remove News from the index page (Misc settings>Index page settings>choose 6 to put news at bottom and set news to 'zero') but all I see is '6.Rosamunde' and there's no where to change news to zero. I downloaded version 122.

I'd also like to remove
"x number PHOTO PAGES HAVE BEEN VIEWED TO DATE ON THIS SITE"
from the index page. How do I do that?

And finally, can I alter the overall colour scheme or am I limited to six themes/colour schemes?

Thanks, NoBob.

these settings are in v1.5rc4... it is also (generally) reocmmended to upgrade to v1.5rc4 because of the many enhancements... the most notable one being the speed... pekka spent a lot of time working on the speed issues and has done a grand job of getting things running much faster when it comes to pulling the data from the database...

I'd also like to remove "x number PHOTO PAGES HAVE BEEN VIEWED TO DATE ON THIS SITE" from the index page. How do I do that?
i think that may be able to be adjusted in the newer version... maybe not... not without hacking the source code a bit... of course, that's always an option but it may also preclude support from pekka...

And finally, can I alter the overall colour scheme or am I limited to six themes/colour schemes?
i don't remember about v1.22, but i seem to recall that you can do your own "templates" in much the same way that you can with v1.5... however, these are done "behind the scenes" and not from within the admin area of EE... IIRC, its basically a matter of copying an existing theme to another folder that's named the same as what you want to call the new theme and then modifying the files as needed...
