Choosing a compact camera

Well, I want your help to choose a camera from these models:

* A710 IS (6x zoom and IS)
* A640 (10 Mpx and variangle display)
* G7 (hi res display)
* A650 IS (12 Mpx, 6x zoom)
* Or give other idea

I'd go with the A640. The extra MP of the A650 aren't going to make a whole lot of difference and the size is good. If you like working in the dark, though, the A710 would be handy with IS.

Try Powershot S80. See sample photos I just posted taken with S70 (Check it out (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=395029)). The S80 has more features and it's sharper than the S70...

I believe it's also out of production, so may be hard to come by.

I had the A710 IS for a while and loved it. I sold it to a friend for the S3 IS. The S3 is a beautiful camera!

I recommend the A640. The variangle lens is very useful (was surprisingly so for me) - and if you're going to be taking a lot of nighttime shots - you'll be fine if you have a steady enough hand...
