I'm not sure if I'm welcome to play or not, being new here and all. (New like... 1st post new). I've been a bit of an observer.. nothing more.
So um... hello everyone.

I'd love to, but unfortionatly I've not much more than my operating system installed at the momment, (just reformated). Besides I'm still a little confused to what shooting in macro is. lol A Kodak easy-share was the best camera I ever had until about a month ago when I bought a Canon 40D, (after months of planning on a Nikon D80 I desided the Canon 40D was worth the extra bucks). I've been reading everything I come across, watching tutorials, ect. Some things just have not yet been covered clearly... (like fstops).
Having the extra cash to buy this camera, extra lens, filters, ect... was like a life-long dream come true. Now I'm watching for classes. Playing with the shutter speed, apretchure <sp>, and everything I can. It has all taught me much, and I've taken some photos I am very proud of, but I've seen the photos on this forum... thus I'd rather pass for the momment. :(
I'll be better prepaired for the next one I get right... if I am still permitted to play.

This is a part of a drivetrain to a vehicle. It connects the source of the power to the wheels.
Most Americans own at least one of these vehicles, however few actually utilize them. Should gas prices get much higher, I bet more of them will.
Figure out the vehicle (think: Amsterdam, Portland, and the newest form of public transit in Paris), and the macro part will come easily!

It's on a jacket? If you picked that up on his post prior to mine, he could be saying that its not on a jacket at all, but just said "fireman's jacket" because that is what was referred to.

I have a feeling it's the reflective plates on the back of a car... with the car's logo or emblem on it. The plates that may run across the rear of the car like on older camrys (where the logo was imprinted on the plate and it spanned the width of the car)
nope
Ok so by what had said it's a reflective panel on a jacket.... but what jacket. Hmm...
Dr
nurse
runner
winter jacket
police
swimmer
fall jacket
Um... I think that's all I got. LOL
And I think the number is 7? maybe a racers jacket
never said it was a jacket.....
It's on a jacket? If you picked that up on his post prior to mine, he could be saying that its not on a jacket at all, but just said "fireman's jacket" because that is what was referred to.
She. I'm a she!
Street sign?

Looks like one of those old 1970's "door knob covers", but that seems just too obscure!
