You should try putting image location tags on your photos, then they will show up on the thread and folks don't have to click on the link.

It's a Snow Plant (http://www.calflora.net/bloomingplants/snowplant.html). Those are fairly common in the pine forests of the San Gabriel and San Bernardino Mountains around here in the spring and early summer.
