Hi everyone

I live in Los Angeles and every weekend I feel an urge to go out and shoot photos. I've been to most of the places, these days I dont really know
where to go .... :(

can you share great places with me?
(within 100miles around Los Angeles)

thanks

Wild Animal Park, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Santa Barbara Zoo, Big Bear, Idyllwild, Lake Arrowhead, Ventura harbor, Santa Barbara harbor, Randsburg, Catalina, the Huntington Library, Descanso Gardens ... I don't think it's possible to run out of places to go shooting around this area.

Joshua Tree National Park, Cabrillo National Monument (San Diego), San Pedro, Point Fermin Park, Ft. MacArthur, just to mention a few more. If you feel like going a little farther afield there's always Anza Borrego State Park, Julian and the Salton Sea.

There's also Death Valley. That's a bit more than 100 miles, but still definitely worth the drive.

Get to Julian. There is a point in the town that looks directly down into the Mojave. The whole town is picturesque, then boogy down the mountain into the desert for some kickass material. In truth, however, I believe that you can find spectacular photography within five feet of where ever you happen to be standing. Look harder.

If you go to Julian, make sure to stop off at Dudleys for some fresh bread.

Just make sure if you visit that part of town to keep your head on a swivel. A lot of homeless folks around there.

Last time I was at 6th and Alameda, someone asked me for bus money.

To get back to his home of North Carolina!

Sorry buddy, keep moving along...

Take the Blue Line to the Long Beach Aquarium. Try the LA Arboretum. Malibu Lagoon State Beach. Lots of pelicans.
