Just another one of those 10D successor discussions over at DPreview.

As much as I'd like to know what will be coming in the near future (I'm in te market for an affordable D-SLR with 10D like features), I don't think the forum is served by all those threads being dedicated to dicussions about new camera's to be introduced at Photokina.

When developing the 1Ds they used a twin sensor prototype.I'm not sure exactly why as there would be a distinct line right down the middle of the images :?
Probably just to test other systems in readyness for the real sensor

*BUT*
that pic is a practical joke-and VERY sad one at that

Best regards,
Andy

This made me laugh too.

I would say someone that spends a small amount of time taking the piss out of the real saddos. The onew who PS pics to give a new camera then release it.

Respect, somone at dpreview with a sense of humour ;)

The best bit of all is the asterisked '*2MP effective' at the bottom. Now *that's* a touch of genius!

Yes, it's a pathetic attempt at a joke. What can you expect from the "boneheads" over at DP Review.

Judging from the long lag before someone responed here, it proved just how much more sophisticated the members of this forum are ... NOT

For a while there I was being to think the guys/gals over at the "Adobe Photoshop User to User Forums" were the real party animals

Actually, that's not really crazy.
Have a look at the Design Hall in Canon's Camera Museum (http://www.canon.com/camera-museum/design/process/camera_design/index.html). It tells a story of how the design of a camera is done at Canon. After making a lot of drawings, they make a mock-up of balsa wood: there's your wooden camera! :)

Hmm... that'd add new meaning to the term, "photo safari."
