Allright, here's my quick thoughts:

1. Too dark, not level... I'm not exactly sure what it is, but it took me a bit before I figured out what it depicted.

2. Nice colors, nice subject, one of my favrites of the bunch. I'd like it a lot more if it didn't have the top of the head and the bottom of the feet chopped off.

3. My other favroite. Nothing terribly wrong with it, ecept for maybe the tree peeking on on the left could be a bit distracting.

4. Too contrasty, and unless it's supposed to be an abstract kind of thing, it's not really a compelling subject.

5. Kind'a soft, out of focus on the spot where it shopuld be- around the eyes... or where the eyes should be =) The lighing is also not all that great- blown out on the spot on the head and kind of dark on the rest.

Hope that helps!

Hi Remedy,

I like the concept in No. 1, but the angle of the shot, while all the rage lately, seems wrong somehow. I really like the exposure and the subject and the composition, but perhaps shoot at eye level?

Again, in No. 2, I can see what you were trying to achieve, but how about having the little girl on the other side of the fence, holding the bars and looking back at the camera with that "get me outta here" look on her face?

No. 3. Okay, but keep your horizon straight...unless you like them crooked.

No. 5. The dogs face is a little underexposed (fill flash but dialled right down?) and he is decidedly blurry.

Keep trying and keep reading as many photography books as you can lay your hands on.
