View Full Version : Captured flag in a glass of water
22nd of October 2007 (Mon), 13:45
I played with the glass and various backgrounds a few weeks ago, and this is the result.
I used ef 70-200 f4, two flashes, one for bg and one for the glass. The glass was about 15 inches away from the bg.

Nice... the only thing that I notice is that there's three colours in the glass and only two in the background - seems slightly unbalanced! Don't know how you could fix that or if it's even important.. I think you captured something nice here as it stands :)

Looks great to me, it oes seem as if the glass is leaning a bit.

Great idea. Simple and crisp. I don't know that the three colors in the glass is off balance with the two color background; I like it just like it is.
(I really love your glass!)

Very cool! I feel like the red colour on the right side is coming towards me when I gaze too much...

Fantastic. I wouldn't change a thing. Heck, I'd frame that.

PERFECT!!! Great choice of glass! And, although I appreciate Jim's point with the 3 vs. 2 colors, I like how it leaves the viewer with that how-did-he-do-that feeling. Great shot!
