The weather here has been horrible, so I havent been able to try any real tests on anything but objects lying around the house.
Well, today I finally was able to take a picture of a person! yeah!

This was taken with the 135F2L wide open! It's very sharp, and there are many highlights in the picture that should show some sort of blue/purple fringing. But alas, there is no sign of this! yeah again!
The lighting was terrible (flouresent) too.

This may just be my next lens. Fast lenses are addicting, especially when they are tac sharp.

Definitely next on my list. Could have used it to great benefit last week in the theatre. I'll be sure to have it before the next show.

Jgbeam, if you like the 85F1.8, you would absolutely LOVE the 135F2L.
Not only is it sharp, the contrast on it is superb! I think the lens also produces ever so slightly warm colours too, which gives almost any picture a rich tone. I'm not sure if that is it, but it really does seem almost impossible to take a bad picture with this lens.
That picture I took above is basically a just a snapshot, but the 135F2L makes it look so much better IMHO.

For shooting theatre,I'm thinking the 24-70 f/2.8 on the MkII with the 135 f/2 on the Rebel is going to be a great combo. I've done this with the 85 f1.8 on the Rebel but can't quite get the closeups I need.
