I posted these in "PEOPLE" looking for feedback. I got none. I thought I'd try here. Any suggestions for improvement are welcome.

I'd like to see the colors of #1 on the pose in #2.

The second image has GREAT expression, but is very soft. I processed it this way (instead of it hitting the trash) to make the best of that that emotion. It's an, "I love it or I hate it" photo. I've been told both. The parents haven't seen them yet.

Ok, maybe a third image will ellicit at least an "I think they suck"

I like #1
As said before I think #2 would look better with coloring like #1
#3 would be nice if the top of her head wasn't chopped off and it looks a little too washed out.

I like #3. I don't mind the head being cropped, I think it adds to the fact that she is moving. I like the selective coloring in #1 and the expression in #2. But not fond of the PP in #2. What a cutie, love that smile.

The second image does indeed "suck", but only because the processing has removed all the interesting detail from her hair and skin, making the subject look a bit sickly.

In the first image, you've done a tremendous job on selectively colouring the subject and separating her from the background, but you missed just a little bit on her right hand and fingers (I think). The hair is just great. Two things would have made this shot priceless (IMHO); If she were looking at the camera and if she were smiling like in the second shot.

She's a real cutie BTW.

I would love to see more pictures of this young lady.

Work on exposure or move into the shade.

THanks for the comments. THey help me to understand this thing called photography. These shots were taken, spur of the moment, at our local "Buddy Walk" for Down Syndrome Awareness. I didn't have control over location or lighting and had to combat strong back light with a strobe.
Adelie like most children with Down Syndrome does not respond to prompts when attempting to direct their attention and it is difficult more often then not to get them to smile.

UNFORTUNATELY the shot with the smile was very out of focus. Rather than cast it away totally, I processed it this way in an attempt to save it. I'm not getting good reviews of it, but a few have liked it.
Thanks again for your time in responding.

Since you have image editing OK, I thought I'd play a little.

i like the third one the best, the colors in the second one are too experimental for me
