I have some lenses (a 37mm and a standard lens for shooting macros on my nondigital canon). Is there ANYWAY to attach these to my G5?

I'm new to the digital world and kinda think I should of bought the EOS so I could use threaded lenses...

Any help is REALLY appreciated, and if you have done this please list the brand names and how you rigged yours.

THANKS!

You won't want to use the 37mm lens on it.

You won't want to use the 37mm lens on it, unless maybe it's a telephoto lens. Just get the right step down ring.

I bought the canon adapter to attach the proper canon lenses but they are non threaded lenses. Where can I get convertors that are threaded to allow me to attach the lenses?

The 37mm lens is a 185 degree lens for doing ipix type shots....

again, thanks for any help

Can you clarify what kind of lens this '37 mm' lens is?

- a standard conversion lens that is screwed in front of your digicam or camcorder with a 37 mm thread?
- an SLR lens with a focal length of 37 mm?

In the first case, you *could* use it.
Actually, it would be very easy to try that out. Just hold the lens in front of your G5 (or fix it with sellotape  ) and take a photo.
As it is a wide angle lens, I assume you'll get heavy vignetting.

Best regards,
