I was going some shooting inside a pub this weekend with a omni bounce. The lighting was aweful! They had a yellowing cover outside the lighting and the walls and ceiling were painted with a vanilla color.

I shot with the flash only, with omni bounce and even tried ceiling bounce with a combination of using the custom white balance. My pictures either turned out too yellow or overexposed. There are 2 other places that I shoot now and then that have somewhat the same setup. I'm having a hard time getting my camera dialed in.

Help would be really appreciated! I'll try and see if I can get a few pictures posted this afternoon!

Shoot in RAW, do your best with the crappy light, then adjust using K settings later.

The other thing to do is to shoot a white card using the crappy light and bounce. Set a custom white balance that way.

However, custom white balance works good when there is one clear source of light. When you get mixtures of this and that, it gets unpredictable.
