A flash would do a lot to that. I like the angle, but the colors are kind of boring. It might look better in B/W with more contrast.

Great picture, good to see the riders face and his eyes.
Do you need flash for it? I would say "NO'
In regard to both of the edits, not as good as the first picture as eye detail is lost on both of them. The original colour looks OK to me.
"TOP SHOT" in my book.

Now three Edits, still think the first is the best.
