Hi guys,

To those that use graphistudio, im about to build my first test album for clients etc. However, just need to clarify on the "pages"

Do graphistudio refer to the pages as each page, or each side? As the pages go up in 10's. Plus do they always start with a double spread?

Ed,

Their pages refer to sides, so a 30 sided album would be 15 spreads.

And the one album I have got done doesn't start with a double spread, just a full image on the right side and on the left side, their names and wedding date.

Hope that helps.

Also, you can have odd numbered pages with them. I have an album that's 46 pages, for example. So, you don't have to do increments of 10.

I recently did an album with them. The spreads I did were named 'page 01-02', 'page 03-04', 'page 05-06'........ If they have a local office in the UK call, the reps were very helpful when I called the US office. Quality was great, turnaround was 5 weeks. Good luck.

Mine have had single start and end pages and graphi matched the colour of the opposite side to suit. It is interesting to know that they will do odd pages.
I received a 40 page print and bind last week that was turned around in 18 days back to my door. I was impressed.

oh as a side note. I saw their metal cover at a bridal expo and they print the image right onto the metal. Sounds like a cool idea but the image was really dark. I probably would go with a black and white image for a metal cover or a simple name and date on the front. Just a heads up for anyone thinking of ordering their metal cover.

what about the cover image, is that something additional you send off? so for instances, you just number the normal (for e.g.) 40 pages, and then a cover?

I was reading about how you have to pay 20% italian tax too if non tax registered in the UK?

I saw them at the Photo Expo in NYC. I thought their albums were amazing. I'm switching to all GraphiStudio books for my packages. They also had a special at the show. I'm getting a sample package (with stock images) for free.

I sent them their contact form several days ago and have heard nothing back, not to hijack, but how long has their response time usually been lately?

kja, You need to call the sales staff and request a sample package. They are better to work with by phone.

I was told 4-5 weeks to get the sample pack since it comes straight from Italy.

I recently received a call from Graphi about the sample pack I ordered in August. I missed the call, but in the message they left, they said that they are in the middle of their busy season and that they have been deluged with sample pack orders, so they are a bit behind in sending the samples out. The lady who lest the message said to rest assured; they are working on getting them out, just that it may take a bit longer than normal. I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of mine (whenever they can get it sent out :) )

oh, on that note I've received phone calls and e-mails from them stating that they are pretty much behind until after Christmas. They said its their busy season with people wanting to get their albums before Christmas.

With regards to the samples, get a real one (your pics) as soon as. I found my sales increased 1000% as soon as I had a demo book of my own to show clients.

The Christmas cut off date for new books is next week, in January I've had albums turned around in ten days. The smaller books seem to delay things.

With regards to odd pages, is the pricing pro-rata?

UK users - Italian VAT is payable unless you are UK VAT registered.

I also heard last week that anyone using Graphistudio's Beta Software is charged the full design pricde when submitting what is effectively a print and bind, anyone know if this is true?

Cheers
Chris

hi guys, just to follow this up as we are about to start our first album with graphistudio... anyways how do you know which albums start with an odd single page rather than a double page spread? im hoping to the latter...

e.g. page 01 02, page 03 04 etc

rather than

page 01, page 02 03 etc

The size we are using are the 40x30 landscape book
