Newbie need critiquing

Here's a picture of my baby girl...just practicing with backlight. Let me know what you think and what I can do better. Thanks! Oh the edge of her cheek is blury probably from my shaky hands. Appreciate any cc's...

I like it, I would have prefared to see a little more of her face and maybe bring back the shadows a little bit great start though and you have such a cute model to shot'

Even if you have to artificially put a light somewhere behind you while taking the pictue, you need a catchlight in the eyes to bring them to life. Just don't use too bright a light, and certainly don't use flash.
