I was hired by newspaper to cover all the events organized by student organization. That means lots of clubbin :D and allot of low light work. I need to get flash very fast, what are recommendations? My budget is some what limited, 200euros at this point. Looking at the used market..

thx.

You don't need anything fancy for on-camera E-TTL stuff. Look for a used 420EX.

Yes. An AF assist light.
More info about the 420EX here (http://photonotes.org/cgi-bin/flash-specs.pl?flashType=canon420ex).

I would recommend a flash bracket also. Bouncing flash can eliminate side shadow, but rarely possible in a club environment.

Depending on the light you also may be able to put that 50 f/1.8 to use without any flash.
