Very nice shot Ben...like the way the bird is just holding on to that thin stick...very sharp....steve

Thanks Steve. I took this shot back in July and never had a chance to PP until now. I remembered on this particular day, all of the night heron's shots came out really sharp! It was a great day for me.

Very nice Ben. I was hoping to see one this summer, but didn't manage it. You sure got a sharp shot of this one though. :)

Thank you Ira. It was one of those days that no matter what I do, I can not ruin the shots.

Thanks Mitch. I remembered that after that day after I came home and loaded the photos in my computer, I left for asia for 2 months. Til last night when I started to clean up my hard drive, I've found it. I still don't know what I did that the photo came out so sharp?!

Thank you Gary! Again, I shot this with my usual combo! I actually went to Google Earth and measured the distance. I was sitting on the grass, full zoom, and point upward about 20-30 degree angle from 24-25 yards away accross the pond! Of course, I still couldn't fill the frame.

Thsi is a fabulous shot! So different a look for this bird! Excellent.
