A quick survey failed to come up with the right answer, so here goes -

what focal length would product the least amount of distortion in a series of photos taken in panorama mode? I got fairly good results with 32 mm, but a visual element crossing most of these frames shows some rough junctions.

Anyone have any experience with this? I suppose it matters how close your subject is - lets assume landscape photography, with most elements at least 20M away.

Thanks!

The longer the better ...

- 50 mm
- 100 mm

depending on the distance you can get from the target.

Or you get some software (like the free Panotools) that can correct the distortion.
