Your comments are required - I'm not sure if this is working - I've tried to increase the saturation but it doesn't look right, I think, because of the white sky.
Any suggestions will be helpful even if its to press the delete button, at least then I'll stop playing around with it!!! :)

Thanks in advance

I really don't think a shot such as this can stand on its own merit. It
needs something to complement it, such as a lion or a Nubian tribesman,
or whatever you can think of. The terrain certainly looks Afrincanesque,
but a sheep, a shepperder, and a dog might certainly work, also.

Looks very, very nice to me, moody, misty, smell the distant farms, the varied greens. Love that English country side !
The placement f the tree is kind of a challenge. I don't see any crops or rotations that would strengthen the rule of thirds or the composition. Also the colors are fully saturated as is, so there is no room to play here. A shift inhue is dicy too as it tends to redden the foreground browns or over-yellow the image. However, for a nice, color alternative, in PS try:
1: Adjust levels "select options"
2: Highlights
3: Enhance per channel contrast + snap to neutral tines.
This tones down the yellow cast, adds a "sense" of higher brightness in the top of the image plus some yellow in the upper quarter of the image. The effect is very subtle, but along with the leftward bend of the tree it seems to suggest a faint and distant sun.

Try to flip the tree. It will make the shot look better.

it's a okay shot, but i can't see what it's trying to tell, flip and turn it to black and white might enhance the mood

The tree starts in the middle & leans out. Do you have one with the tree to the right & leaning into the pic?
(Oh, & grass! More grass!)

Thanks for all the comments.

I'll certainly remember the first two when I'm next in the wilds of Weardale   The latter ones are a possibility, Thanks Rick.
Thanks Howie, I'll give that a go - I've just got myself a new PC and I'm on setting it all up, so it may have to wait a day or two but thanks for the suggestion.
Henkbos, I'll give that a go too - its strange but its sometimes the simplest things which have the most impact.
Frank, Yes I do have one with the tree on the right leaning into the pic - it was the first shot I took and the way I wanted the shot - unfortunatley there's another tree which gets in the way - what I tried to do instead (and failed) was have the tree center and leaning to the left and the farm buildings adding interest to the right.
MORE GRASS!!!! Dang, I knew there was something missing
Cheers & Thanks
David
