These were taken on a rainy day while traveling the most dangerous pass in the San Juan Mountains.

Looks like it could have been taken in Europe!

Great scenes, Stan. I like the little rainbow in the first picture. The distant view of the house in picture four - it is almost scary to think of living there. The fifth picture showing the house is very nice. Does that mean there is private land along that road at that point? Is the house occupied?
Cheers,
Harold

Thanks, Harold. The house was once a power generating station for the local mines, powered by a stream that runs through the basement and turns a turbine. The building was bought some years ago and converted to a private home. It was once on HGTV's America's Most Spectacular Homes. The owner has a cable car that he can use to get home when the road is closed by snow.

Fantastic images, Stan.
Good eye to catch the rainbow in that first.
And in the last shot, is that a house where people actually live? If so, hats to them.

Thanks, Frank. Yes, people live in that house. See story in earlier reply.
