Will be shooting hunter and jumping classes at a local show next weekend. I expect that most of the day I will have to contend with harsh sunlight. I skimmed over an article somewhere that discussed using either UV filters or polarizers even when shooting people in outdoor settings, but cannot remember where I saw it and which filters were suggested.
Anyone out there shoot horses and riders in action in hot bright outdoor arenas? How do you overcome the shadows of a rider under a helmet and bright areas of a well polished horses coat?
I may be able to use fill flash, but want to have an alternate plan. I hope to use a Tamron 28-75 f2.8 or Canon 17-55 f2.8 IS USM, but may have to use the Tamron 18-200 f3.5-6.6.
Thanks to all
