Before June 30, Adobe had a special offer for people who bought a Microtek scanner. You could upgrade the PS Elements 2.0 that came with the scanner to PS CS for $ 299. Even though the offer was only meant for people who bought a scanner, it worked with any PS Elements 2.0 - also with the PS Elements that you get with the 300D and 10D.
I upgraded the PS Elements that came with my 10D that way. The offer was only valid in the U.S. and Canada, but my brother lives there, so I let him buy the upgrade for me. Before I did it I even asked Adobe if it was OK, they answered yes but said I wouldn't get support in Europe.
Now Adobe has a similar offer for people who bought a Canon product with PS Elements 2.0: http://store.adobe.com/store/products/special.jhtml?id=catCanon
I'd say, JUMP on it! :) PS CS is much more powerful than PS Elements 2.0.

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
I just toldt he wife last night, that I'm set with "Camera stuff" until the new year. I didn't think I coud get PSCS < $500.
Working w/PS 6.01 & FVU, makes one REALLY REALLY want PSCS.
I'm gonna need to have her lock up my credit cards.

.... Don't worry, according to the website the offer is valid until December 31, 2005... 8) (but as Tommy says, if you already have PS 6.0 the upgrade is even cheaper! Or is that an, ehh... "unlimited evaluation" version ?!?! )

If you're a student or teacher (or know one?), you can get a discount, too.

And I did. Thanks for the heads up. I have been wanting to get the full version but would rather spend that kind of money for an L lens. But $300... well I consulted the wife and rationalized it as "this kind of offer won't happen..." and well it's ordered.
Now for the post processing questions... I can see them formulating now!
