Does anyone know how to determine the number of pages printed on this printer? This is my first Canon printer. I have owned a number of HP and Epson printers in the past and both had a diagnostic page that indicated this as well as other pieces of data related to the printer.

An awful lot of people bragged about having one of these bad boys and none of you know the answer to the question?? Please advise as this is driving me nuts.

Guess I'll just have to let this one go. I can't believe Canon produces a printer with no function to keep track of the pages printed.

I figure once I have bought the printer its a fixed cost anyway so I don't worry about it. I estimate < $1 or so in ink for each 8X10 photo (even close?) and I try not to waste prints.
Not sure I understand the usefulness of a number of pages printed report unless every page printed required the same amount of ink. It gets even more complicated when you have separate ink tanks. Would an 8X10 color photo count the same as a 3 line email printed in draft mode? Unless the software distinguished between the types/sizes/colors of prints I am not sure it would mean anything. Probably why Canon does not waste software development and drive up their/our costs to provide it.
