I like it.
About the only things I would recommend is
1) crop the left part of the picture off where the Telephone poles start to double up. This (for me anyway) is disturbing the repetition in the photo.
2) Clone out some of the weeds that creep up into the bronze of the sky. The spiky one in the middle keeps drawing my attention.

YOUR SECOND SHOT -- NOT THE SUNSET
Well I especially liked the road thru the salt marsh. It is a beautiful image.
We see lots of "roads" here but this has some great flow in all directions and over a short space. I think that it can be strengthened a bit:

* I suspect that a higher shooting position (e.g. ladder or top of car) might have introduced a bit more ocean

* The color is nice and playing with the options in PS (Adjust Levels --> contrast) might help too. re adding a tad more pastel

* I could not access the image but try a flip of the image so as to have the road start on the left side

* You have to be cautious when splitting an image 50/50 .. I'd be inclined to crop this sky a bit .. BUT ...the blue seems essential.

* I liked to see a bit more contrast in the sky too.

I like it. But I would move the sun just a lit bit to the left, -it is disturbing to me since it have been cut in that way.
