"Retractable Ralph's" '68 Plymouth RoadRunner 383 is numbers matching, except for the aftermarket hood & '72 wheels. "Retractable" because he's the guy that that wrote the manual on the retractable hard tops.

It has an auto trans & 3.91 Sure Grip rear end. It now has 107,000 miles on it & he puts on about 4,000 a year in the 6 years he's had it.
It's an early production model which all came with the black Road Runner decal (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?p=4200553#post4200553) & the true "Meep! Meep!" horn.

Finally, someone who knows how fast it is! :D 13.80 sec @ 101mph in the quarter. That sounds about right to me.

Oh very nice. My dad has a 1970 Plymouth satellite all matching numbers that we are considering (at this very moment actually) turning into a roadrunner clone or maybe selling it and getting a roadrunner. I have to take some pics of it. Nice job Frank.

My dad has a 1970 Plymouth satellite all matching numbers 318cid? Not positive, but a matching numbers Satellite might be worth more to a purist, so you could save the "upgrade" costs & have money left over to buy a RR clone. I've seen some nice ones here for $20K-30K. http://southernmotors.com/chrysler.asp
