first one is a bit boring to me, i'd get down and towards left of plane, sort between the front and left wing, with camera point up for composition.
Love the second one, great leading line into the frame, but light was a bit boring, try same composition at different time might add great mood to the photo.
Third one has messy background, a bit distracting, good colour.
I'd prefer the fourth one in B/W
... IMHO

hehe, I did shoot the plane like that and I didn't like it like that because it has been done like that TOO many times before, why do what everyone else does.... Thanks for the tips on the second one... Didn't think about that at all... Hmmm, I tend to like the messy back ground with the bright color of the flower because it sticks out at you... I'm going to make the fourth one B/W and post it to see what it looks like...
BTW, How do you like that 50mm 1.4 on your 10D? How is it with portrait shots? I was thinking of picking up a 50mm for portrait but I thought it might be too much for with the 1.6x with the chip and all...

first one, meh, i'd crop it at the top half of the turret, and just show that...the pic doesnt do much for me.. especially the cone at the bottom :(
second one awesome, maybe darken the skys, and maybe a few inches to the left of the fence
flower beautiful
final one, crop off the left a bit, the half latch/diamond plating is distracting.
Excellent shots, keep em comming

well, i no longer have 10D, now i'm using it on a 1D, with 1.3x crop factor instead of 1.6x, i have to get rather close in order to fill the frame, so i'm considering a 85mm f1.8 at the moment.
i'm sure it'll play perfect on your 10D, and i did post some samples before either in share photo or critique corner, and that was some portrait shots, also my new thread in share photo section, of bathrooms are shot on 50mm f1.4.
go get this lens, you'll love it!

Oppps, sorry, I meant to say 1D... ;) Thanks... Yeah, I just picked up the Canon 15mm fisheye and was VERY SCARED about it.. I just found this website actually and no one could give me a straight answer on it.. I got alot of mixed reviews and said what the heck, I'll pick it up... WOW, Bright vivid, alive pictures. I just went to a Sox game and I couldn't belive it. I need to pick up some filters for it but I was impressed. There was some distortion but I like alittle some times and if anything you can use PTLENS in Photoshop to take it out if you don't like it. Best money I spent. WELL WORTH IT! Now, You have convinced me to pick up the 50mm f1.4... ;)

I see you are new here, Welcome to the forum. here is a suggestion.
I would say you posted too many pics to get a lot of critique. I sugest picking the one you like best and post it here. Most folks just will not take the time needed to critique a lot of pic's :? Aso size it smaller so it will fit the screen..
Just my thoughts

I like the flower one a lot. I'd like to see the leaf be taken out-just leave the dark water and submerged branches contrasted against the bright flower.
(Although I like the Warthog too-I'd rather not be there at the wrong time, though! )

Thanks! I LOVE military birds I am military myself and have been for 7 years now and will be for at least 13 more so when it comes to seeing old military birds I love taking pictures of them. I was at Oshkosh this year and probably have 300 pictures of old miltary birds floating around on my computer. Man, I was really hoping for FiFi the only flying B-29 but no, she wasn't there. I guess I will have to hunt her down next year and find her. Also I didn't get to see a heritage flight this year. Thats when they fly an F-15 or F-16 with a P-51 and do some Fly-bys in close formations... It is really something to see... We saw it at the Milwaukee air show but the sky was too damn grey and the pictures just don't look that good because of the sky... This really sends chills down your back seeing this combo flying together... beware this is a low quality snap too....

Beautiful to watch formations like this... I'll bet a lot of your overcast shots have more punch than you might think (love to take a crack at the full size image in Photoshop)... here's a quick twiddle with Elements:

Wow, I'm sure that didn't take much but I have NO photoshop skills at all. I need to learn. I plan on going to the Milwaukee zoo this weekend so hopefully I get some good shots there. Next weekend I will be at the Cleveland Browns game.. They play Detroit so I'll be Downtown and hopefully I get some good Rock and Roll hall of fame shots at night... Or some night time FLATS shots...

The one of the flower doesn't need the green leaf in the image, it distracts from the flower.
