When I shoot in AV Mode I have my parameters set to these settings ALL the time. I mostly do landscape and portrait shoots.
How many of you play with these settings and is what I do foolish or not?
Contrast +1
Sharpness +2
Color Saturation +2
Color Tone +1

Everyone has their fave settings, however, most of us prefer to shoot "flat", i.e. all parameters set at "0" and then process the resulting photo through our fave software, PhotoShop, etc.

I agree with this strategy for Raw. For JPEG in the Mark II I have gone to +3 for Sharpness.

If it gets you the results you like, there's nothing foolish about your settings. Note that there's no relation between the settings and shooting in Av mode. The settings do the same in any other camera mode.
