I am seriously interested in flowers macrphotography, so help me please.
I was trying to take some picutre with normal light, what do you think is missing to improve their quality?
all comments are very welcome
10D , 100mm Macro USM , rail focusing on tripod , mirror lock up and remote, so if there is any bad focussing, must be me

My favourites are #2 and #4. The colours are beautiful!
I particularly like the composition of #4, with the droplet of water. That's an awesome macro IMHO.
#1 isn't bad, but doesn't do much for me. I find the stalk of the flower in the background to be distracting.
#3 is a great shot, but again doesn't do it for me like #2 and #4. Keep up the great work!

Shot #1 looks like it was taken mid-day, so the light is pretty harsh (did you use a polarizing filter? if not, consider getting one). The composition is also very cluttered, but perhaps that is what you were going for. Also, these kinds of lilies (I find) very difficult to photograph - the curvature of the tepals (or what most people would call petals) combined with a waxy reflective surface and a nodding habit seem to result in a shot that is difficult to perfectly expose. I suppose a reflector would help balance out the difference in light above and below.
#2 looks like evening light to me. The leaves on the edges of the photo are distracting, so should be moved aside if possible. Also, the straight line shadows don't work with the flowing lines of the rose, if that effect was intentional. But I like the colours with the evening light.
#3 and 4 seem a bit flat, but that is easily fixed in your post-processing (see http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/contrast-enhancement.shtml for one method). #4, in my opinion, is the strongest compositionally.
