As I am new to the Stobe/flash scene, I am at a loss once again. Here is my question.

I have a 580EXII and a 540EZ (I know its for film :( ) and a Cactus RF604 wireless receiver from ebay.

Can I set up this equipment in some way so that I can have BOTH flashes going off at the same time?

I have tried a bunch of combinations, just trying to figure things out, but so far I am at a loss.

Thanks all for any input :)

Kevin

Youll need one more reciever to trigger both...

I cant set the 580 up as a slave?Yes you can, but you don't have anything that can be the master to talk to it.

So what your saying is the "slave" needs a signal from a Canon master. The second flash does not read light, but it reads a signal from other Canon flashes.

crap....

I use a 430ex + pocketwizard reviever (equals your cactus), and a Nikon SB-28 with a hama optical sensor. That way the 430ex triggers the second flash without a reciver on it. So you'll either have to get one more reciever or some sort of optical sensor on the second flash. The first sollution often proves to be the best for several reasons...

A Canon 550EX or 580EX can be Masters, using the Canon Wireless system. A 550, 580, 420, 430 (all EX's) can be slaves. Your EZ is has no Slave or Master capacity and is useless here.
