G'day ladies and gentelman!
I was wondering if some people can give me some advice on the above combination (I only received ProMax two days ago and haven't had the chance to try it out :? I am going to a former co-worker wedding (yes its another one of those wedding questions) this Saturday and while I am not planning to shoot bridal party too much I would like to take a few pics of fellow co-workers who are attending. I'll post this as a series of questions rather than ask for a general advice:
1) Considering that 80-20 Pro Max can be converted into Pocket bounce which one works better for general portrait photography? Obviously 80-20 requires a 2.5-3m high ceiling to work effectively and is not suitable for outside shots.
2) What is the best effective distance for the use of frosted diffusion screen in the kit with/without white insert?
3) What is the most optimal head angle for the flash? I was thinking about leaving it at 60 degrees but has anyone else tried more acute angles and have better success?
4) Hyperfocal setting. Should I employ the hyperfocal settings used by Marc Jutras http://www.marcjutras.com/ehyperfocal.html to enable for a quicker shooting? Hows does it work with ProMax and 420EX?
5) General info. I intend to shoot in raw as memory is not a problem. Is it a good idea? What white balance should i choose- flash or one of the default presets?
6) Related to Q4. I also have a TiffenMegaPlus 0.75x Wide Converter. Should I use this or stick to default lense settings? I plan to let my feet do the zooming to simplify the process.
I don't expect answers for all these questions but if some of you can share your own experinces and give me some tips it would be greatly appreciated even if I cannot recipricate the favour due to my low photographic skills
