What to do???

I currently have a abr800 and a 430ex but with this current deal on the 580ex II I have been seriously debating jumping on one and buying it...my question is do I really need it...If I were to get it I would likely sell my 430 and the 580ex II would replace it in my bag as I really don't have room for two flashes...only reason I even thought of getting it was the other night I was shooting pics at a party and it started to rain a little and the 430ex was getting wet and I was saying man I wish I had the 580ex II but I still need to upgrade my body to either a 1d series or 40d but for now it will be used with my xti...

I went from the 430 to the 580V1 and love it. It just feels better and I find myself using less FEC so my batts last longer

Only you can know if you need to upgrade or not, and whether or not the upgrade is worth the cost.
Think about features the 580 has that your 430 does not, and deciede how much you would use them.

Sometimes you simply have to stop and make these sorts of decisions on your own.
