Ok I just did it, I just ordered from B&H a 550EX Flash and the 17-40L. I was just going to get the flash but I said what the hell.
Maybe I shouldn't order camera equipment when I get home from working the overnight shift.

When buyer's remorse is long gone, you will still be enjoying that fine piece of glass and superb flash.

My name is Steve, and I am an L-Coholic
I had a "payday" last Saturday. Sold another one of my motorcycles at noon, and had placed an order with B&H by 4pm. It would have been sooner, but I was 4 hrs from home when I delivered the bike.
Had my new 24-70f2.8L by Wednesday.
Let's see, what else can I sell. . . "Honey, where are the kids? . . . ."
. . . . . an "L" addict.

Ok, So I just looked out my window and saw a UPS truck pull away. I got so excited I ran right out to the door to get my new lens and flash, on the way thinking how to set up the boxes to take pictures of them. Well all I have to say is UPS is EVIL. They left me the new battery for my mountain bike headlight system I ordered last week. So disappointed, I almost threw it back at the truck.
OK Even worse, I just checked the tracking, UPS says they tried to deliever it but nobody was there to sign, Hello I didn't even hear a knocking.

So UPS strikes again .. took them 3 extra days to deliver my 10D .. wouldn't redirect it until it "bounced" from nobody being home
then didn't pull it from the truck .. so it "bounced" again
then delivered it at the end of the 3rd day (after no end of phone calls).
Still they gave me a whole lotta free shipping for my troubles .. so who do I want to inflict this shipping service upon.

UPS is BAD NEWS.. I sell DELL computers from time to time and have to use UPS... There is no way around it.. I have tried.. trust me... But anyways... I called UPS because I was going to be out of town and requested that all deliveries be stopped.. They replied that I would need to come in and do that and I said no problem.. I went in and filled out the proper paper work.... I went home and 3 days later we went out on our trip... I took along my laptop and received an email from dell that my 3 laptops were being shipped a few days into our trip... For the heck of it I decided to track my package a couple days later just to see what it would say and it said DELIVERED..... Whoooaaaaa, I have over $8,500 sitting in the snow... I was not a happy camper. I called UPS and boy, I think every customer service agent in that building heard me when she told me there was nothing they could do about it. They wouldn't even put me through to a Service manager. I finally got through to a service manager the next day and he told me that it was my fault for not filling out the proper paper work blah blah blah..... I let him talk... Then I pulled the recipt out of my pocket and I read word for word off the paper I filled out and then he knew I did fill it out... He felt stupid and then I'm sure he knew they screwed up!!! I told him That I lived in the ghetto and UPS just delivered 3 laptop computers worth $8500 on my doorstep and I wasn't due back for another 9 days and I knew that the boxes say DELL on them and asked him if he really thought that they would be there when I got home??? Man, I think he had 10 trucks racing over there at once to find them... Luckily for him I have a good neighbor, a HONEST neighbor who told UPS when they came back looking for them that he will hold them till I get back...

Yeah, online shopping and camera equipment are two deadly combinations. It's so easy to click a couple of buttons and have the brown truck at your doorsteps in 3 days. It's a good feeling though :) I have no buyers remorse because I know I have top quality equipment in my hands. I actually spent an entire paycheck to get all my camera gear that I have so far: 10D, BGED, 100 2.8 macro, 17-40L, 14mr-ex, minitrekker, CF cards, batteries, etc. Do I feel bad, no, not really. I look at it this way, there will be 51 more paychecks in this year that's not used for camera stuff. Maybe one more paycheck for camera stuff this year, hummmm??? I'll see....
