No, not "The Dark Side"; I haven't defected yet.
The VSCC were out for a sprint meeting around the old Goodwood circuit yesterday. Light was a problem - there wasn't much of it so depth of field became interesting at times. Anyway, these were taken with the 1D Mark III (someone had borrowed my Mark II for a try-out) and various lenses - if you're curious as to which, ask.

I agree very nice captures of the old racers ~ reminder to self print out Goodwood dates and stick on the fridge
As for the BMW - I am wracking my brains for the model but the plate I think is early 50's however the model I think is late 40's and predates the 328 roadster. I have a feeling this might be a rebodied 328? In such matters I stand to be corrected cos memory ain't what it used to be......! Having said that I thnk the rad slots were narrower like this one on the pre war models....or were they doh!

Gary, according to the programme it's a Frazer Nash-BMW 315 of 1498ccs dating from 1936.

Thanks for putting me out of my confusion. It was like having a word on the tip of my tongue, so to speak.

Let me start by saying you could post the worst photos of old racers on here and I would still love them because I love old race cars/bikes (I am definitely going to have to make it across the pond to Goodwood one day before I die). Having said that, all of these pictures are superb! I really like #3, #4 and #6. You have to love when you see a driver putting his body into it through the curves!
I got a triple bonus when I realized #4 and #6 were of a Frazer-Nash. My god-father was a Frazer and his uncle was the Frazer of the Frazer-Nash.
Thanks a ton for sharing!

Thanks for all the kind comments, people :)
My god-father was a Frazer and his uncle was the Frazer of the Frazer-Nash.
Interesting, I always like to hear when people have a relationship with the cars I shoot!

They're much brighter than the day felt! That 600mm f/4 seems to suck in plenty of light :)

Yes, I suppose it does. Mind you, only half of them were taken with the 600mm ;)

I see evidence of the 500 and 120-300 in there ;)

Great work Glenn. A lovely combination that 600mm and MKIII. As Juz has mentioned the shots looks less gloomy than the day which is nice. Nice action in all of these.
Cheers,
Steve
