I like the concept, but the shot doesn't really work for me. The white jacket over the dress I think is the biggest factor. Also, the perspective effect due to your low vantage point needs to be corrected. Neither of these problems are your fault though.

Maybe try adding some impact by fixing the verticals, converting to B&W and then use the history brush for the dress - that's what I would do with the shot...
