Gritty it is, Yiskah. Harsh sunlight is often undesirable when photographing people, but does wonders with a brick wall and weathered door. Good eye spotting this one, lots of texture and character.

Thanks, Pio. I know you like to see a human element, as do I, but I only got one person shot that day that was even slightly worth saving. I'll post it soon. I was just playing around with different textures and 'styles' with this one... I haven't had time in ages and found it very cathartic:)

So much work to make this doorway impenetrable... and then there's that big hole on top. Nice contrast between them which explains the overall contrast, eh. Good call.

I'm really diggin this as well. I'd love to see a tight crop or two of the door itself as I can only imagine it's got some interesting "features". Maybe add another perspective as well. I think this find of yours has many picture possibilities. Nice work!
