Are there any users of the Camera Armor - for Canon EOS 5D (Camouflage) , just saw this on the B& H site, and was wondering if it's useful. Darryl

Not until I see one that supports the Canon battery grip for the 5D.

Field work is a great place for bodies/glass to take a beating. And a common situation where folks will use a battery grip. They should've designed one for a battery grip from the get go.

that's a thing thats been holding me back too... I can't convince myself enough to invest in the Armour, knowing that i'll be investing in a battery grip one day, which will essentially render my Armour useless :(

I have some of that, it stayed on the camera about 2 days. Hated it.

I have this for 30D, is terrible, requires cutting to make it fit with a grip on, needs washing constantly to make it not feel like snot and makes the camera clumsy to use.
Really do recommend against getting one.

Had a go of a 30D in jessops with this stuff on, gave it straight back to the rep after 1.5 seconds! Absolutely hated it, it looked horrible and felt horrible.

Its a good idea sure, but cannon spend ages on r&d to make cameras 'fit right' a badly fitting lump of un-tactile rubber is never going to be a pleasant thing to use.

I do agree... maybe i'll give the Armour some more consideration before purchasing.

I hope the OP got the answers he was looking for.

all I will say is... I cannot recommend buying this crap WITHOUT trying it first!
