Well it seems that this rally was attended by a few POTN members, the only one I saw was GSGary (but I didn't know that at the time)
A damp start got even wetter during the course of the morning but the afternoon got out quite nice, unfortunately an accident in Portland delayed the proceedings somewhat so it was getting dark near the end.
And to top it off it tookk me 4 1/2 hours to drive the 140 miles home.

All taken with Canon 1DMKIII and Canon 300mm f2.8 Lens and Canon 70-200 f2.8 lens

Anway some photos.

1.
A couple of Escorts besing driven properley

This is the car which caused the delay in the afternoon, it felled a tree in Portland whilst flat out

Mmmmm very very nice shost there Ian! Very very sharp, you can really see how a good quality bit of glass helps (nothing to do with skills lol ;))
Love all the escort shots, but i think the amazon is my favourite!

I have to say i might have to get a 70-200mm but f4 version, there just such good shots!

Cracking shots as always Ian, went to Clipstone South and i must admit it was a testing day for taking pics, Will get some of mine up hopefully tonight. I take it you'll be doing the MFR stages

All of these photos are ridiculously sharp, but I especially like #1 and how you've captured the mud flying up behind the car!

All great but I think that any picture of the Volvo should be in greyscale - it is a fantastic car to see on a stage. Wouldn't mind a photo session If anyone knows the owner? Just a wish :-)

I also wished I had stayed for the second run as the light seemed much better.

Thanks Darren, I won't be at MFR as I'll be at the Rallycross Superprix at Croft.

These are faultless. Excellent image quality and the depth of field is spot-on.

All very nice Ian. Nice to see an Octavia WRC out in the forests again.

When the wind and rain lashing against the front of the house woke me up on Sunday morning, I decided that a couple of extra hours in bed were much more preferable to a 2 hours drive down to Nottingham to stand in a wet forest for the day. Must be getting soft in my old age!!

Good luck for Saturday. See you on Sunday.

Cheers,

Simon.

Sounds very repetitious, but can only say "Good Shots Top Set"
