I think your slow shutter speeds have sacrificed sharpness in some of them.

2nd one is cracking though! 1/25th is a little bit slow for rally cars!

I think you are pushing you luck shooting at 1/25. Now having said that, the set of pictures posted are good and well panned, but I find that with so much panning the background has become annoying. Sorry to have to say that.
willy b....Nothing ventured nothing gained. I am sure lots will like them.

Thanks alot for your comments, it is advice that i'm after, after all i just need to get better!
In hindsight i agree with you that i was pushing the luck with shooting at auch a low shutter speed! I think next time i'll shoot higher, and hopefully the light will be alot better!

Having said that, i do like the panning that i have done, but just wish they were all a little sharper as you said!

Thanks again!

willy.
You could up the ISO. I am sure with the 400D you will still get good results at say 800.
Probably get howled down for saying that, but on a poor day light wise, that what its in the camera for.
Most of your shots you used ISO 100.

Yeh Kahll that is a good idea, i have found a hate shooting at iso 400 or above, but i agree, in a situation like this, then a high iso is what teh camera is made for

If it helps I presonally start @ around 1/160 for panning .. and move down from there.

Also might be worth giving one of the lower focus point a try .. can help improve the composition
