What lenses were you using? Most of them seem to be miss focused, and carry motion blur, I'd up the shutter abit if you struggle to pan at that speed.

Using a sigma 17-70mm i was using a slow shutter speed (perhaps a little too slow)

Mmmm thanks for your comments!

2 things Id say, I am questioning the AF speed of that lens for a start and for 3/4 and front/back shots use 1/250-1/400th. I found that panning jumpy rally cars 1/125 or 1/160 are safe, anything lower you will get blur on the car body if the car moves vertically. Also upping the shutter will give you more DOF too, so the whole car is more visiable F3.5 is too shallow for 3/4 shots.

The last one would have been a great shot if you had caught it, practice and more practice;)

Thanks jakkin, i couldn't seem to get high shutter speeds mainly due to the poor light, i didn't want to up the iso to moor than 400. I do see where you are coming from thought! I need more eveing sto photograph i think! Thanks for your comments!
