Super Company. USA prices, only 2 dollars postage for small items. Bought a filter in May - all great.

Ordered another filter 2nd August. No filter but money deducted from my credit card.

Check the site and get this message:

Due to an overwhelming demand on my time and the resources neeeded for maintaining this site, I am taking a vacation and will be back in 30 days...
Until that time we will not be accepting new orders

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you back in SeptembeR

This is, The Camera Hunter Store.

file a complaint with your Credit Card company.
Many will put the funds back in you account by doing what is called a chargeback.

You might want to contact this person and let them know that what they did was unacceptable and that they should ship the product as soon as they take your money and simply stop taking orders in order to process them and then (and only then) take vacation.
this is obviously not a positive way to handle customer's.

Sad, very sad. I hope everything works out for you.

I'm sorry to hear that.
I've bought twice small parts in the last year and everything was always fine. And as you said, very low postage, even when sending to Europe

I hear what you say, ChrisN (or should that be I read what you write) and will act early September if he doesn't respond to the email complaint which I will then send.

Point is, if he stays in business, he is too good a source of inexpensive small items at half euro prices so I have no wish to upset him and cut off a possible future source.

His problem seems to be too much success :?:

Waiting too long before notifying your charge card company jeopardizes your chances of getting the chargeback.
