Negatives

OK, don't laugh, as I'm sure this is a stupid question.

I noticed a post about using your camera as a scanner. Well is there any way you could use the camera to get a decent picture off a negative??

I'm sure this is completly impossible, but thought I'd ask just in case as I have a few that I've lost/damaged the photo's of.

Forget the digital. Since you have just a few, take them to an output center and have them drum scanned or put on PhotoCD. The results will amaze you.
