I added a touch of contrast for good measure. It was taken on a 35-80mm Lense(Standard Rebel 2000 kit lense)

I am a sucker for sunsets. I tell my son that they are a new picture being painted by god every evening. So we sit on the back patio (Often with camera in hand) and watch the sun go down over the mountains. He says god did a really good job tonight dad. :-)
Really like the colors.

That is a fine sunset photo. Great detail even in the reduced posted size.
The reason I asked about ISO setting is that my Canon Pro 1 has objectionable digital noise for settings above ISO 100. Your image has no noticeable noise which really impressed me. (I ran it through a noise reduction software and the only change was loss of cloud detail.)
Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work.

As an experiment, if you want to spend the $25, and want to get blown away. upsize it to 20" X 30" @300DPI, and then send it off to get printed. I did one as an experiment (similar range of colors). And to this day I look at that picture and still have a hard time believing it came from a digital camera.
I used www.iphotoshop.com to do the print. But there are others on the web.
Nice shot, now show it off on your wall somewhere, its worthy of it.
