I bit the bullet this morning and ordered a dual CPU motherboard which supports dual and quad-core Xeons. I also ordered a quad-core CPU. I am thinking I'll go two quad-core CPUs later when CPU price drops further. I know Lightroom export was MUCH faster going from dual to quad core. Do you think it's still the case with total of 8 core? I didn't buy the upgrade for just Lightroom, but if it will still speed things up, I might as well go extra quad-core now anyway. Let me know if any of you have an eight-core system (Mac Pro included I guess) and you see Lightroom taking advantage of all of them. Thanks.
